KDE Finance Sprint, take 1
Developpers of KMyMoney (Thomas, Alvaro, Cristian), Kraft (Klaas, Thomas) and Skrooge (this humble author) have met Friday in Frankfürt, Germany, for the first KDE Finance Sprint. Arnaud, developper of Assuma (previously known as the way-too-long-a-name Association Subscribers Manager) could not make it due to real life issues.
Alvaro came halfway across the globe, from Argentina, across a devilish Black Smoke that escaped from an island (hmm, that does remind me something...), but managed to be there on time :), as well as Cristian from Romania, Thomas from Belgium, and me from France. Klaas and Thomas being german natives are guiding us in this (not) hostile environment.
A big thanks should go first to Thomas for hosting us in his company's office, Claudia, from KDE e.V. for taking care of all the administrative details and for booking the hotel, and for Klaas for discussing and making arrangement with KDE e.V. You all rock \m/
About that first day, we took time to get to know each other in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Every one introduced himself, and I made a brief presentation of skrooge to the gang. Due to my arriving rather late, we had no time to talk much more before going to the hotel and having dinner at restaurant.
The atmosphere is fantastic, we have been chatting about just everything, from soccer & rugby, to Free Software (of course), swedish chainsaws, big & small companies, tough times in Argentina and Romania, and thousand other topics that were at the same time entertaining, insightful, and instructive.
Today, we are going to have more presentations from KMyMoney and Kraft, and getting into more technical matters. Stay tuned :)
